How the planner works
It scores every place on this guide by how well it matches your interests and how far it is from your base, then fills the days with the best matches while keeping long drives apart. When a place holds its weekly market on one of your days, the planner moves the visit to that day. Each day also gets a beach that suits the region, and on days for sunsets a viewpoint from the winds and weather guide and the sunset tool.
The plan is a starting point, not a timetable. Check the wind on the morning of each beach day with the wind finder and swap days freely. Places you saved with the heart can be given priority.
Questions
How many days do I need on Mallorca?
A long weekend is enough for Palma and one mountain village. Five days let you see the Tramuntana, a northern bay and the south-east calas. With a week or more you can split your stay between two bases.
Can I see the whole island from one base?
From a central base such as Palma, Binissalem or Sineu almost every place is within an hour. From the north or the east the opposite end of the island takes well over an hour each way, so a second base is worth considering.
Does the planner know opening times?
No. It plans with drive times, market days and regions. Check opening times of museums and monasteries, and the access rules for Formentor in summer, before you set off.
Is my plan saved anywhere?
No. Everything is calculated in your browser. You can copy, print or send the plan to yourself, and only then does it leave this page.
